Your liver will still make enough bile to digest your food but instead of being stored in the gallbladder it drips continuously into your digestive system. When you eat your gallbladder releases some bile into the small intestine where it gets to work on breaking down fats. As an ordinary part of digestion your liver produces bile and stores it in the gallbladder. Therefore bile continually slowly trickles into the intestines.
While you can live without your gallbladder.
