The main differences between prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells are the presence of a nucleus the size and complexity of the ribosomes how the cells reproduce and the presence of a cell wall.

In prokaryotic cells the true nucleus is absent moreover membrane bound organelles are present only in eukaryotic cells. The nucleus is where eukaryotes store their genetic information. They both have primary chemical structures such as carbohydrates nucleic acid proteins fats minerals and vitamins. The main difference between prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells is that eukayrotic cells have a nucleus and membrane bound organelles while prokaryotic cells lack these structures.
