The countertop size allows air fryers and convection toaster ovens to heat quickly.
Air fryers take up less space. The real difference between an air fryer and a convection oven is the the air fryer has a basket that is located at the bottom of the fryer and hot air is forced down from above. Air fryer cleanup is more difficult. Whereas a convection oven is more like a traditional oven plus a fan.
Convection ovens and ovens overall are traditionally shaped like squares or rectangles but air fryers are designed to resemble coffee makers as they are taller and slimmer. Convection ovens use a fan to evenly and continuously circulate hot air around your food allowing for faster more even. Air fryers include a removable container with a handle. Of course how long the appliance lasts depend on its usage but both the air fryer and convection oven are expected to last several years.
A convection oven will pretty much have to live on your countertop full time whereas an air fryer can go in a cupboard when you re not using it although because of its height it might not fit in every cupboard. This is an important difference due to the heating elements at the top are near the food items and you will get crispier results when it comes to the air fryer. But how does an air fryer or convection oven work. Cheaper air fryer models come in at around 70 while more affordable convection ovens can drop to around 40.
