Injury or trauma to the eye can damage the iris causing tissue loss. Heterochromia refers to a condition where each iris has a different color. When you are happy or sad your hazel eyes change color to brown. Hazel eyes are believed to change color due to changes in moods and the surroundings.
It could be that the cellular level texture of your iris contains perforations which can change their shape based on blood flow pupil dilation etc and when everything is just right they reflect. Horner s syndrome can also cause a change in eye color due to depigmentation of the iris. Heterochromia iridum and heterochromia iridis when someone s eyes have any form of multicoloration they probably have heterochromia iridum or heterochromia iridis. Additionally things that surround you like the color of the clothes you are dressing make your hazel eyes change the color.
Partial heterochromia means parts of your irises are different colors. Human eye color originates with three genes two of which are well understood. Heterochromia and anisocoria are sometimes mistaken for each other. When one pupil is much larger than then the other eye color looks different.

In very rare cases horner s syndrome occurs in newborns or infants. I doubt they change with my mood because i would have noticed it. The eye color of most babies will darken in the first few years of life. Plz help me know why my eyes have always been this way.
