Stress hormones can increase and muscle building hormones can decrease when you don t eat carbs. When you eat fewer carbs fat loss is an almost automatic and wonderful side effect. Remember without enough carbohydrates the body starts breaking down lean muscle tissue for energy. Reducing your intake of calorie dense carbs automatically reduces the amount of calories you re consuming on a daily basis which forces your body to burn fat stored around your midsection for.
The problem is once your body has. When you consume large amounts of carbohydrates your body converts unused glucose to glycogen and stores it in your liver. When you stop eating carbohydrates the body can go into ketosis which isn t inherently a bad thing but it can lead to complications and be difficult to sustain long term. If you cut out carbs completely your body will eventually go into a state of ketosis where small fragments of carbon called ketones are released into the blood because the body is burning fat instead of carbohydrates.
Carbs are the first nutrient your body breaks down for fuel after a meal. Once your liver is at capacity for glycogen stores your body stores. Everyone is different and there s no one size fits all when it comes to how many carbohydrates you should consume. So when you cut out carbs your body gets rid of it resulting in weight loss.
