We can get to know him through bible study prayer and fellowship with mature believers.

In order to combat jealousy we need to become more like jesus and less like ourselves. Relationally jealousy knows no moderation. We were made for him. Proverbs 27 4 tells us anger is cruel and wrath is like a flood but jealousy is even more dangerous jealousy is an overwhelming emotion that leads to worse actions.

But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts do not boast and be false to the truth.
