The truth of what the bible says about jealousy can help our kids keep jealousy at bay and keep a peaceful heart instead. The bible tells us to be content with what we have for god will never fail or forsake us hebrews 13 5. In 2 corinthians 11 2 jealousy is good. We can get to know him through bible study prayer and fellowship with mature believers.
In order to combat jealousy we need to become more like jesus and less like ourselves. Relationally jealousy knows no moderation. We were made for him. Proverbs 27 4 tells us anger is cruel and wrath is like a flood but jealousy is even more dangerous jealousy is an overwhelming emotion that leads to worse actions.
But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts do not boast and be false to the truth. The truth of what the bible says about jealousy can help our kids keep jealousy at bay and keep a peaceful heart instead. For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist there will be disorder and every vile practice. Jealousy is not always a sin but most of the time it is.
