Look for teethers made of solid rubber and avoid liquid filled teething rings or plastic objects that could break. Most parents look forward to that first sparkling incisor.
A clean teether for your child to chew on may also help. Developing a facial rash is often a sign that babies are teething. Call your doctor if your baby has diarrhea vomiting rashes on the body a higher fever or cough and congestion. Red and swollen gums.
Generally your baby s gum will appear red and perhaps be slightly swollen before the new tooth emerges. What symptoms are probably not related to teething. Look for a facial rash or rosy skin on your baby when you check for drooling. Peel back your baby s lip very gently to examine her gums.
