What Do Animal Cells Have That Plant Cells Don T
Camila Farah
The cell parts that animal cells have that plant cells do not are the lysosomes and centrosomes.
Plant cells contain different features that animal cells don t have. Plant cells contain plastids small structures that aid in photosynthesis. Plant cells have a cell wall chloroplasts plasmodesmata and plastids used for storage and a large central vacuole whereas animal cells do not. When looking under a microscope the cell wall is an easy way to distinguish plant cells.
Centrioles cilia desmosomes and lysosomes. Some organelles that are found in animal cells but not in plant cells are as follows. Additionally plant cells have a cell wall and a cell membrane while animal cells only have a cell membrane. Animal cells are also generally smaller and have more variety in shape than do plant cells.
The lysosomes are membrane bound organelles shaped. To sum animal and plant cells both have a nucleus a cytoplasm and a cell membrane. Animal cells do not have a cell wall. As animal cells do not photosynthesise they do not need chloroplasts.

Animal cells contain structures such as lysosomes and centrioles that plant cells do not. Animal cells have centrosomes or a pair of centrioles and lysosomes whereas plant cells do not. This provides the plant with additional support when it absorbs water through osmosis. Plant cells also have a large cell vacuole chloroplasts a cell wall and a regular shape.
