I Only Do What I See My Father Do

The issue is that jesus had come to do the will of the father and he was completely in subjection to the father.

The father and the son share the same being of god. But he that sent me is true. John 5 30 i cannot do a single thing of my own initiative. I only do the works that i see the father doing for the son does the same works as his father.

And do you therefore the things which ye heard from the your father. We need not with meyer limit the lord s vision of the divine things which he saw with the father to his premundane personality. Therefore in answer jesus went on to say to them. Do what the father does.

John 5 19 therefore jesus answered and was saying to them truly truly i say to you the son can do nothing of himself unless it is something he sees the father doing for whatever the father does these things the son also does in like manner many many believers i find are trying to do the works of jesus they re trying to speak the words of jesus and yet he says i don t try to do the works. And the judgment that i render is righteous because i seek not my own will but the will of him that sent me. They are utterly united at one in the godhead. That makes sense of jesus saying that to see him is equivalent to seeing the father. 28 then said jesus unto them when ye have lifted up the son of man then shall ye know that i am he and that i do nothing of myself. He describes himself in constant communion with the father.
